I remember beginning this year with much hope like I always do. I had written down my plans for the year only to scrap most of them as early as March. But then, there are things I never planned for, too.

November in a nutshell: turned 38, my plates were on the front page of a newspaper, and I am almost done with my first K-drama ever.
I got a job, sold some cupcakes, and a bunch of plates. October, you weren’t so bad!
Made my first buko pie among other things in September. I also tried not to panic at the thought of not having a regular gig for a month. But I’m ready to work again, October!
I did a daily tarot challenge, made pizza twice, and baked 18 days out of 31. LOL, I’m self-soothing!
Warning: just a lot of food photos because that’s something I’ve thankfully been having regularly. Welcome to the second half of the year.
I baked 16 out of 30 days in June. I’m on Day 19 of a meditation program. And I’m still painting my nails in Marimekko patterns.
It’s clearly getting harder to look at the bright side of things when everything else in the world says otherwise. But isn’t that all the more reason to remind ourselves of the good things we’re fighting so hard for?
Has it only been a month? Why does it feel much longer than that? Day 50 of ECQ today. 50!
The future of Macy’s Fields, my favorite buy of the month, and other things I loved about January…which is finally going to end today.
