Photo Diary: My First Trip Since 2019

On a random Wednesday when I took a day off, what was brunch turned into almost 6 hours of catching up with Chinggay. We were recounting months of kwento and she mentioned that she had to postpone a trip with her family. We both thought we just needed one trip to set things in motion (read: plan a longer trip). That night, we decided we would go visit Patty in Singapore. We had never traveled together before but briefly met up in LA during our respective trips in The Year Before Covid. In true budol fashion, she was there for emotional support as I bought a bag in Melrose, hahaha.

The last time the three of us were together was in March of 2020 when we quite literally woke up Patty at home and had brunch with her before her flight back to Singapore. Chinggay did Lenormand readings for us and that was that. We didn’t realize we wouldn’t see each other again for the next 3 years!

We made it to Singapore just as the rain stopped and once we dropped off our bags at Patty’s, it was time to load up our EZ Link and get something to eat. The next four days were a happy blur of food, walking, and shopping. We progressively got exhausted which meant our days got lazier until our departure. We ended with a Hallmark induction for me (in which I have yet to make a dent in The Hallmark Big 3: An Education watch list Chinggay and Patty put together) and a promise to travel together someday.
