My brother swears by the Katsudon at Shinji Tanaka’s recording studio. When I heard about Crazy Katsu, I figured I’d find myself there soon enough. It wasn’t until last Saturday, though, that I finally got to check it out.

My friends and I were a bit full from merienda so we just split two orders between us: Chicken Katsu and Katsudon, plus an order of pudding for dessert. It was pretty yummy, but I guess I was expecting a lot based on people’s recommendations.

We liked the Chicken Katsu best—it had a bit of kick from the chili and had just the right amount of crunch. The pudding was alright (leche flan!), but the caramel tasted a bit burnt.

I’d probably go back again. Maybe when my tummy isn’t too full.
